Monday, September 6 - Rutherford Labor Day Street Fair

The is the largest and longest running street fair in New Jersey. Annually the celebration attracts over 25,000 people. It is a popular destination for Governors and Senators. The festival features an antique show, craft vendors, a juried art show, and local food vendors.

The main thoroughfare of Riverdale will be transformed into an open air pedestrian marketplace with non-stop entertainment, festival foods, local merchants and restaurants display their specialties and a variety of family activities. Over 100 exhibitors, kiddie rides and climbing wall, a special section with craft exhibitors who are displaying their handmade craft, pony rides and petting zoo, games, face painters, activities and delicious food. Enjoy a day all about moms (oh and their kids). Featuring: puppet shows, tattoos, balloons, crafts, games, a special Princess guest appearance. Moms can learn about: local kid-friendly activities; meet other local moms; learn about mom's clubs; and discover additional kid-friendly resources and programs. Macaroni Kid will be participating in this event.

Pamper your Prince or Princess with a royal treat! Children have breakfast with our own princesses: Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Belle! Each child gets to take home a princess mug and photo frame to treasure. Children are welcome to dress in costume. After the brunch, stay and play! Bring your camera for fantastic photos!

Sunday, October 17 - They Might Be Giants Family Show

Alternative rock faves They Might Be Giants are a hit with children and adults. Enjoy their family show and an afternoon of pop music and humor.

Where: Mayo Canter for the Performing Arts, 100 South Street, Morristown.

When: 1:30 PM (also at 4:00 PM)

Who: Children accompanied by caregivers.

How: Buy tickets early as these shows are very likely to be sold out. Parking can be difficult at this venue. Street meters are operational until 8pm. If you are attending the later show do not park on King Street, because no parking is allowed on this street after 5:00pm.

Cost: All tickets are $25.
