Cookies for Kids' Cancer Event was a Huge Success
This past Saturday, over two dozen of the Short Hills Hartshorn Elementary Kindergarten girls sold cookies in front of Splurge bakery to raise money for Cookies For Kids' Cancer. Cookies for Kids' Cancer is a national charity which raises money for pediatric cancer research. Cookies for Kids' Cancer was founded by the Witt Family, after their son was diagnosed with a rare childhood cancer.
The first Annual Millburn Cookies for Kids' Cancer Event took place just one day after the day that Liam would have turned seven. With the generous support of the community they raised $2890.76 and Glad products is matching their donations for a total of $5781.52. Donations continue to pour in through the event website. If you would like to donate, click here.
While the bake sale took place across the park, over one hundred people enjoyed free entertainment at the Bauer Community Center. The entertainment was provided by Jungle Jon of the Lizard Guys, Tommy Knucklehead, Stories in Motion, Acting with Emily, Sivan Vigder of Music for Aardvarks, Creative Kids, Anya Parker-Lentz, and Soulfege. The event was co-sponsored by Summit Medical Group and Splurge Bakery. The kindergarten girls wore t-shirts that were generously donated by Gotham.
